Unfortunately, the Pink and Lily has gone drastically down hill in the last few months. We used to go regularly but the last three times weve gone they have had issues with the kitchens or chefs which have resulted in long waits for meals, hugely reduced menus and poor quality food. Whilst it might just be bad luck, to run out of burger buns by 1pm on New Years Day when it was the only thing available on the menu, is ridiculous - and we had to wait over an hour for our burger sandwiches! We wont be hurrying back.
Great place, made to feel very welcome. Beer excellent from local breweries.
Visited this lovely old pub today between 4.30-6pm. The food was a dissapointment... ordered cauliflower and parsnip 'soup', which was actually more like puree and tasted of fresh air... therefore reminded me of baby food....Icing on the cake was the lack of customer service from 1 staff member...Topped it even more when she was talking badly/laughing about other customers who made a comment on their food order.Highly unprofessional when we as customers still there could hear it...Could probably do with some customer service training...Anyway will not be visiting again; mainly due to the bar ladies attitude.

Only sat for a drink and a chat on this occasion. Very friendly staff and good selection of beers.Pleasant and comfortable atmosphere and a superb open fire.Planning on going back for dinner sometime soon.
