This review is for their company called Chinnor And Thame Taxis.I wish I could rate this abysmal taxi service any lower. Booked an airport drop with them for 8.45 AM. Was told categorically that it will be a Merc E Class coming in and the fare would be 70. Next morning, its time and no cab turns up. So I call them and they advise me a Toyota Prius is on its way and they are running late. I obviously took an exception to this considering the fare charged was for a Mercedes E class. Finally the cab turns up 20 mins later and the state of the car leaves a lot to be desired. However, by that time, I couldnt be bothered and took the taxi to Heathrow! Arrive in Heathrow and phone up to pay and they quote me 82! Apparently, because I am paying by card, they have to charge me VAT?!? Again, something which was never mentioned at the time of the booking! Finally, the guy at the end of the phone, rude and arrogant! Not a hint of an apology! Instead he was acting like they are doing me a favour for sending me a cab and if I dont like it, I should take my own car! Clearly, he doesnt realise they are not the only taxi service in town! Bottom line - If you are looking to get anywhere on time in a decent car, dont touch this company with a barge pole!
Half an hour late to pick me up from airport. Rude person on the phone. Wouldn't use again.
Dropping a car off at the end point of a walk, then getting a taxi to the start point 18 miles aways, where you have dropped your mum and dog, sounds like a great plan until the taxi company turns up 2:15 hours later than pre-booked. As it was tipping down with rain, my mum and dog had to keep walking around, doing at least an additional 5 miles on an already challenging day (for us distance wise). To say I am disappointed with the service is an extreme understatement. The firm said they couldn't find the car park because the postcode provided didn't take you to the exact location. This is true, but is also the case for a lot of more rural destinations. I sent a Google map link which pin pointed the location exactly, and gave the postcode I provided. I should also note I am not local to the area, and had never visited before, but found the car park with ease. The car park was a large national trust car park, with signpost from the main road, not one off the beaten track. The taxi company didn't offer very much at all in way of apology for the inconvenience and I very much felt the onus was on me to direct the taxi, I tried sending the Google link, but they must have been unable to read the map or click the link. Eventually when the taxi arrived he was pleasant and the car was clean. Overall I would avoid using this firm unless there is a direct postcode to the locality.
Exceptionally good. Very customer focused. Would definitely use this company again. From the moment I arrived in Heathrow I had a text message waiting for me giving me detailed instructions where the driver would be waiting for me. The car was very clean and the driver was a wealth of information. My return journey from Gatwick to Princes Risborough was just as smooth. I would always use this company.
Excellent service. Reliable and on-time. Driver went above and beyond what was asked, and very friendly too.
